Big Youth

After exploding onto the Jamaican music scene in the early seventies, the larger than life Big Youth became reggae music’s indisputed DJ king, scoring with an array of hard hitting singles and albums.

Gifted with a sharp wit and an ability to effectively connect with Jamaica’s downtrodden, his distinctive and seemingly effortless delivery graced numerous hits until the onset of the digital era of the mid-eighties.
