This April, the London International Ska Festival featured four big events with a distinctly Trojan flavour.

Things kicked off on 14th April when Symarip frontman, Roy Ellis performed the classic Trojan LP, ‘Skinhead Moonstomp’ at the Islington Assembly Hall.

At 1pm the following day, Trojan Records official Thames Cruise 3 set off from the Millenium Pier, with entertainment provided by world reknown lovers rock queen Carroll Thompson, performing her own special tribute to the legendary Phyllis Dillon.

Later that day, and back on shore, there’s an equally compelling event when the Pioneers, Dave & Ansel Collins and Owen Gray  all appearing at the Islingston Assembly Hall for an unmissable Reggae Chartbusters show!

And the thrills continued on 16th (Easter Sunday) as Brinsley Forde (Aswad), Carroll ThompsonChristopher Ellis and Jewels Vass (Pama Int’l), backed by Ciyo Brown & the Rocksteadyites are set to perform John Holt‘s seminal ‘1000 Volts Of Holt’ album at the Jazz Cafe.
