Best known for her risqu?? hit, ‘Barbwire’, Nora Dean was a truly unique talent whose recordings as both a solo performer and member of the Soul Sisters had a significant impact on the Jamaican music scene from the late sixties to the mid-seventies.

Her sad passing in Connecticut on Thursday 29th September 2016 was yet another blow to the Jamaican music industry, coming soon after the tragic loss of Prince Buster earlier in the month.

This Trojan Tuesday, we pay tribute to her recording career with a newly posted bio and spotify playlist featuring some of her finest works from the golden age of reggae.
