Peter Tosh – Rasta Revolutionary
This week we pay tribute to reggae superstar and founding member of the Wailers, Peter Tosh, who on 11th September 1987 was brutally murdered outside his house in Jamaica.
Tosh, whose recording career commenced in the early 1960s as a member of the Wailers, later achieved significant success as a solo performer, with a series of globally successful 45s and albums.
His tragic passing 30 years marked what many regard as the end of a golden era in Jamaican music, which had produced many of the most significant and enduring recordings to ever see issue.
