Trojan Presents Ragga
In the mid-Eighties, advancements in recording technology revolutionised Jamaican music and created a digital sound that became widely known as Ragga.
The sound opened the way for a new generation of young, exciting performers to find success on the local and international music scene, and over 25 years on, Ragga remains the prevailing sound within Jamaican music.
This collection traces the development of the style from its very beginnings through to the mid-1980s, highlighting many of its biggest hits along the way, including many tracks previously unavailable on CD.
