The Skatalites!

Formed in 1963 by an ensemble comprising Jamaica’s finest musician, the Skatalites set the standard for musicianship throughout the ska era and while its members went their seperate ways by the mid-sixties, they continued to play a major role in shaping Jamaica’s national sound throughout the remainder of the decade and well beyond.
