Trojan’s Anniversary Year Kicks Off With 2 Great CDs From Doctor Bird

Our colleagues at Doctor Bird Records are to release 2 more superb CD collections comprising classic Trojan albums on 12th January!

The first of these comprises two essential long-players from one of Jamaica’s most popular and influential groups of the 1960s and early 1970s: the Ethiopians!

Originally issued by Trojan in 1969 and 1970, respectively, ‘Reggae Power’ and ‘Woman Capture Man’ feature the best of the Leonard Dillon-led trio’s work to date for Karl ‘J.J.’ Johnson, along with additional 7 tracks cut for the producer during this period.

The second of Doctor Bird‘s releases for the month is equallty impressive. Featuring the Uniques‘ one and only album release, ‘Absolutely… The Uniques’ includes the LP’s original dozen tracks, bolstered by a dozen bonus recordings,a number of which make their CD debut!
